Pocket Poems came about during a breakup. As a way to cope, artist/writer, Laurie Haines, wrote two poems on the front and back of a 3×5 card. Every time she felt down she would pull out her card and read it over and over again. Eventually the words became a reality and the despair began to lift.
Whether it’s a poem, a picture, a song – it sometimes requires us to keep hitting the rewind button until the message gets through. It’s a way of healing and moving forward.
Be proud of your scars, for it is the layers below the surface, that make life what it is.
